In 1995 Maria Sônia created the company PILAR Cultural Enterprises. As a professional, she works with research, patrimonial registration, technical diagnostics and other activities related to tourism. She is a consultant in various Institutions, such as SEBRAE-RJ, SEBRAE-MG, Comunidade Solidária, Ministry of Tourism, CSN Foundation, FEOP-UFOP, FAOP – Secretary of Culture from the Government of Minas Gerais, IEPHA – City of Ouro Preto, among others. Maria is also a member of the Council of Popular Art Museum – CEMIG, Belo Horizonte – MG. 2012.
