Association of Women Extractors of Combú

Experiência de bioeconomia feminina a partir do manejo da andiroba.

AME is composed of women from riverside communities who extract and process andiroba, drawing on traditional knowledge passed down through generations. The project showcases the production process for the oil and its byproducts, their medicinal and cosmetic uses, and the impact of this activity on women’s autonomy and forest conservation.

Visitors participate in discussion groups, learn about the products, and discover the power of collective effort in the Amazonian bioeconomy.
