Home Accommodation at COP30

Belém will host COP 2030 in 2025. The capital of Pará represents the best of Amazonian culture with its unique cuisine, distinctive musical styles, hospitable culture, historical heritage, and, of course, the forest.

However, Belém is still an underdeveloped city in terms of tourism due to historically low investment in this sector.

The Climate Conference is expected to attract an audience of around 50,000 people, and Belém had just over 20,000 beds at the beginning of 2025. Solutions such as the ships in Outeiro tend to provide around 10,000 beds.

Other solutions have been considered in a scattered manner and, judging by the prices of rental properties, are insufficient.

In this context, Raízes and Diaspora.black are offering a free course on Home Accommodation for 50 residents of Belém who are interested in welcoming tourists into their homes.

Places were announced in April 2025, and classes will take place between May and June.
