Flowers of Carmo Handmade Weaving

This group of women, or “Flowers”, as they are affectionately known, were already weaving knitted carpets by the time they were selected to participate in an incubation project by the Vale Foundation. As tutors of this beautiful group, we had the privilege of supporting the formalization of the Association: the creation of the name, brand, and their first collection with the collective identity. The incubation included a seed capital that was used to refurbish the looms and to launch the artisans’ online store. The Flowers today have autonomy and the district of Senhora do Carmo, in Itabira – MG, is proud to be represented by such a significant business, with such high technical quality.
