Vila Circular

Vila Circular” (Circular Village) is a regenerative community technology pilot project that aims to solve local waste management. It seeks Zero Waste at Maraú Peninsula at the state of Bahia in Brazil, and the end of the dump that is located inside a mangrove in an Environmental Protection Area (EPA).

Vila Circular carries out environmental education, selective collection, reverse logistics, composting, sorting, disposal of recyclables, agroforestry systems, medicinal herbs, fertilizers, substrates and biofertilizers. It also promotes circular economy, community integration, training, certification and the improvement of the region’s socio-biodiversity quality.
