Tourism + Sustainable II
The second edition of Conservation International’s (CI-Brazil) Tourism + Sustainability Program aims to boost responsible businesses and make tourism more sustainable in Bahia’s Far South.
The 20 selected companies will receive collective mentoring from specialists in the responsible tourism market, individual advice, support for improvement in key areas, and seed capital for investment in improvements, with the aim of helping them structure and improve their activities.
The companies were selected on the basis of the following criteria: potential for economic and tourism impact in the region, innovation and differentiation in the market, environmental and social sustainability, financial viability, and capacity for growth. In this selection, priority was given to companies from traditional communities, led by women and allies of Futuri. In addition, 10 places were allocated to the surroundings of the Abrolhos National Marine Park.
The building is part of the Programa Turismo + Sustentável, a CI-Brasil initiative that aims to strengthen Futuri. Raízes Desenvolvimento Sustentável is the executive partner of the project.
