About the award
CLAUDIA Award is the biggest female award in Latin America – its first edition was in 1996. The main goal of the ceremony is to discover and highlight competent, talented, innovative women committed to building a better Brazil.
The selection of the finalits always starts on January, when the Award’s crew invites renowned personalities (scientists, academicians, social entrepreneurs, businesspeople, politicians, writters and filmmakers) to indicate the candidates. Participants from previous years and readers of the magazine can also contribute to the selection.
250 women will be chosen for six different categories: Sciences, Public Policies, Culture, Business, Social Work and Innovation. In the end, there will be 3 finalists on each category. The jury is formed by the readers, the direction of the magazine CLAUDIA and by a commission of ten personalities.
The June issue of CLAUDIA magazine is on the newsstands. It talks about the Award and it has the profile of Mariana Madureira.
