Carla Galdino

Carla works as a Tourist Guide in the city of Caravelas, Bahia, showing visitors a little of the history, architecture, and legends of the place.

As director and scriptwriter of two mini-documentaries about black women, Carla also works as an Afro dancer with the Umbandaum group. She has also volunteered with the Arte da Manhã Cultural Movement since 2010, teaching Afro-Brazilian dance to children, young people, and adults in the city and region.

Carla is currently a Local Agent for Raízes, through the Mentoring Project for Small Tourism Businesses.
