Green Passport Rio 2016
The Green Passport is a campaign created by UNEP (United Nations Environment Program) to promote sustainability in tourism.
The Green Passport is a campaign developed by UNEP (United Nations Program for the Environment), which aims to promote sustainable tourism. The campaign is related to consumption in tourism, talking to tourists and local inhabitants about the trade: lodging, food, agencies, and operators.
The campaign started in 2008 and has undergone changes so far, especially during major events such as Rio + 20, Rio’s World Cup, and now the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The role of Raízes on the project is to coordinate partners to engage people for the campaign.
