Famtour in the international scope

In Brazil, the ecotourism and the adventure tourism have a huge expansion potential. Products that already are well-established could be sold on the international market, and this demand has been growing. To foster this bridge, ABETA launch the Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism International Promotion and Distribution Program, in 2008 with the support of EMBRATUR. Raízes worked for the project coordination.

This initiative occurred at the moment ABETA (until then Associação Brasileira de Empresas de Turismo de Aventura) and the Ecotourism Office were merging to become the Brazilian Associasion of Ecotourism and Adventure Tourism Compagnies.

Raízes part

As part of the international business missions coordination, Raízes worked with:

• The participation of this business segment at the Travel Mart Latin America, in Quito (Ecuador), and at the Travel Mart in London (England);
• The organization of famtour with American and European operators for the Brazil 14 main destinations of ecotourism and adventure tourism;
• The viability of the Adventure Travel World Summit South America business round;
• Update of the website;
• Monitoring of new product creation, such as gifts and folders for international promotion.
