The first step to any project is to understand and plan the elements involved on it. Planning on tourism is not different: it’s necessary to know about all the attractive offers, equipments and services. The organization of touristic scenario archives is a great tool for planning that information.

Touristic activity has been developed at Minas Gerais to promote competitiveness and increase decentralized and integrated management. Considering this, the Secretary of State for Tourism of Minas Gerais (SETUR-MG) has done an analysis of the archives with information about touristic offer and noticed that the situation wasn’t positive for the State. The documents provided by the Association of Circuits had problems of writing, formatting, reliability of data, and often contemplated equipment and attractions without focus on tourism.

Intending to find a solution for the trouble, on 2009 SETUR-MG developed the Project for Correction of Archives of the Tourist Offer at Minas Gerais. To standardize data and generate more accurate and reliable information, Raízes was chosen to this job through a selection process held by the Government of Minas Gerais.

Our company corrected the information data of 404 municipalities which are part of 47 certified Associations of Tourism Circuits according to SETUR-MG criteria. The project lasted 11 months and the results were shown to the client in December 2010.
